Long Island Marketing & Looking At Current Consoles

By Rob Sutter

With the newly released PlayStation 4 and Xbox One both reaching over one million sales, it's apparent that the latest video game console generation has had a strong start. Along with Nintendo's own Wii U, the attention is focused on the content that these machines are going to bring several years down the road. That being said, one has to wonder how exactly these consoles will stand out to the casual audience. I think that this is a point of focus for those who are invested in Long Island marketing.

As stated before, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have sold exceptionally well, especially when considering the fact that they have not been out for that long. It's a matter of investment for many gamers, as they believe that the software to come is going to be worth it. However, one has to wonder what these companies can do in order to instill fate in those who might be on the fence about becoming early adopters. It all comes down to the games, in my view, but what does this entail in particular?

I think that these consoles will only be as successful as the unique experiences that they will bring to the table compared to the past. What about something like "Nintendo Land," which was a launch title for the Wii U? Yes, it was quite unique but the other titles that came with it were ones that, in my view, could have just as easily been brought to the consoles that people had for ten years or so. It's apparent that the hardware has not been pushed to its limit this early and those in Long Island marketing can say the same.

I believe one of the most important points for those in Long Island marketing to make note of is that these consoles offer different experiences. For example, what about Nintendo's usage of the GamePad, which the other consoles don't have? Maybe it's a matter of looking at the streamlined interface of the Xbox One, seeing as how it is easy to navigate, especially for those who are familiar with Windows 8. These are just a couple of examples that firms like fishbat, Inc. can focus on.

As someone who is heavily involved in gaming, there is always a level of excitement that comes with new hardware. You want to be able to test it out and see what exactly it will be able to offer you in comparison to the competition. However, I've come to realize that these consoles are not alike and that there will be certain features that will stand out, whether the differences are immediately noticeable or not. It's just a matter of seeing which ones will be optimal for you.
