Investment Facilitation Practices By The Government And The Community

By Nora Jennings

Investment is a tricky affair that requires plenty of organization and planning. All the stakeholders that are involved must play their role properly for the investment to be successful. Therefore, there has to be an investment facilitation, which means that all factors are made favorable for it to survive and do well. The investment that is to be carried out could be by an individual, a group of individuals or a country.

One of the major factors that can affect investment is peace in the area of investment. People need to be assured that when they make investments they will not go up in smoke or get blown up by terrorists. This is why governments invest so much in security since it determines greatly the economic status of the company. Attraction of investors starts with assurances of peace and security.

The government also should speed up approvals for businesses that seem to have a better brighter future. The long bureaucratic procedures need to be done away with so that more investors are encouraged to start and expand their businesses. The fee paid for the same too needs to be revised in a downward manner.

Another major thing that the state can do to attract the investors is by setting up an office where all their matters will be handled quickly. Most of the foreign investors do not have the knowledge of how and where to get relevant documents for their business. The government should let them get access to the documents with ease for them to be able to start on a new project.

Another factor that is quite important is the cost of development materials in the area. The government should ensure that this cost is reasonable in order to ensure that investors do not spend too much on them. The local population should also be urged to provide labor for the construction of new projects in their area. This is because venturing is also about providing jobs to the locals.

Another way to increase investment is through making loans more accessible. When investors are able to get money, they will be able to effectively do their work. Loan repayment terms should also be revised and made more favorable especially when it comes to interest rates. This is what will pull more and more investors to the area. This is one of the ways to bigger and more beneficial ventures in the area.

One hindrance that a company may have when starting a project is strictness by a specific location where they want only controlled development projects. The state should find a way that will discourage this form of plan because it will limit the work of an investor. It will also discourage the investors from starting the project within that area.

In any country, investors have a great role in making developments. This is why the government should do all that it can to facilitate the presence of investors in the country. This is of course as long as the venture plans do not pollute the environment and threaten livelihoods.
