The Importance Of Lobby Signs For Business

By Olivia Cross

Businesses thrive on customer patronage. Customers patronize the businesses that they know about. Advertisement is therefore a crucial aspect of any business plan. Additionally, clients feel more comfortable in buildings that have sufficient information posted for directional and safety purposes. This is why it is important to use lobby signs for business promotion.

A typical lobby accommodates a large amount of traffic on a daily basis. This obtains in buildings designed and used for corporate housing as well as those in the hospitality industry. People go through the lobby to get to the other areas in a building. People also assemble to wait or participate in meetings in this part of the building. Ads are therefore very effective when posted here.

Traditional advertisements may be posted in lobbies. These include ads posted on the walls. They do two things when they are used in this fashion. They enhance the appearance of the space and they help to market the company's products.

Motion advertisements also work really well for lobbies. They can be displayed via screens mounted on the walls. This helps to promote goods and services while also occupying the minds of those who wait in this area. The attractive colors and general excitement surrounding these advertisements help to create a luxurious vibrant atmosphere which in turn attracts more people to the location.

Signage created for the provision of information are also really important for lobbies. A sign, for example, that tells visitors and clients where specific offices or departments are located plays an important role in any business. They help current and potential clients to find the person and department that they need easily. This is especially important when there has been a change in either operations or locations as it prevents confusion and frustration. Many of the larger modern shopping centers and malls use these maps or directories In their lobbies to tell existing and prospective clients where each store is located. Of course these signs are posted in central locations such as lobbies.

These signs may also be used for safety reasons. They can tell when the floor is wet and slippery or when an elevator is out of service. The use of signage for safety cannot be underestimated especially because they help to prevent accidents that may end up costing the organization hefty compensation fees.

CEOs and marketing experts often engage the services of professionals for the signage they use in their lobbies. This is especially necessary for the highly technical ones such as the digitized motion advertisement screens. They also use these external teams to maintain the signage when necessary.

If the marketing expert or CEO is on a budget though, there are other options. Sometimes the requisite signage creation and installation skills already exists within the entity. It just needs to be identified and engaged. Some companies go as far as to ensure that the employees in departments such as maintenance and marketing already possess these skills during their recruitment drives. For other entities, management may have already invested resources into ensuring that existing workers are trained and certified in these areas. This eliminates the need to hire outsiders for these jobs.
