QR Codes & Why They May Fit Into Truck Wraps

By Paula Hess

I'd like to think that we are living in the age of smartphones. They are viewed, by many, as mini-computers and the various functions they possess only help to illustrate this point that much more. One of the defining traits of mobile technology, in my view, is QR codes and you can be certain that they have a tremendous degree of effectiveness associated with them. When it comes to such codes, though, the question must be asked, "Can they be integrated into truck wraps?"

QR - or Quick Response - codes are some of the most common types of bar codes seen on the Internet. Initially designed for automotive purposes, QR codes have since expanded to include a number of companies, whether they are related to retail, technology, or what have you. Basically, in this day and age, they are used in order to help direct people to websites with a sense of rapidness intact. Even though the naked eye may lead you to believe otherwise, each code is made differently.

QR codes are especially useful when given the fact that most people are not very patient. They want to be able to arrive at where they must be at a given time, which is practically impossible when they are tasked with sifting through various sites on Google's search engine. QR codes, on the other hand, can bring users to the sites they require almost instantly. This is especially helpful for smaller companies which, admittedly, have not been able to make their mark on the Internet yet.

In order for truck wraps to possess the highest levels of quality, it's possible that QR codes will be brought into effect. Of course, visual quality must be integrated for the utmost clarity, which is where reputable companies such as JMR Graphics can put forth their services. In order for them to be effective overall, though, these codes cannot be attached to broken links. If these factors are considered, the effectiveness of QR codes will be that much more ensured.

To say that QR codes have their benefits would be nothing short of an understatement. However, these items must be integrated with a sense of quality and it's clear that this can fall into a number of categories. These can include - but are not necessarily limited to - unbroken links and visual clarity for devices to pick up. I believe that not only can QR codes provide their own levels of assistance but that, depending on certain brands, could become part of truck wraps in general.
